HMS Hermione (The ship is named after Hermione - the daughter of the Spartan king Menelaus and Helen) light antiaircraft cruiser type “Dido” Launched in 1939 and returned to the docks a few months later with a cat named “Convoy”. The convoy is not just a cat, and a full member of the team entered in the ship’s book. Nickname “Convoy” was because the ship many times accompanied the convoy patrols.
