For many of us, The Beatles on “The Ed Sullivan Show” was a defining moment; comparable to where you were when Kennedy was shot, or man’s first steps on the moon.
For the Beatles, it was the culmination of a dream, plus seven years of hard work.
Pictured here later that night after the Sullivan Show, celebrating at Manhattan’s Peppermint Lounge, where they danced the Twist until 4:00 AM.
